Along came a spider
Who sat down beside her

Artist's Commentary:
I am going to be vulnerable here. Spiders scare the bejeebers out of me. I have spent most of my life shrieking, completely at their mercy. Intellectually, I know that a little spider is not going to kill me - but emotionally, well that is a different story. Emotionally, I am certain they are plotting my demise constantly and have super powers. OK, maybe not the last bit.
In any case, I steeled myself to get close to this HUGE spider (at least by Canadian standards - I mean this guy was the size of a twonie) to get this shot one early autumn morning. There is minimal processing aside from adding the text and a texture courtesy of skeletalmess. http://shadowhousecreations.blogspot.ca
Artist's Finishing Recommendations:
FAA's fashionable and luminescent Metal Print would be my pick to play up the contrast of light and dark in this image. There are numerous attractive custom framing/matting options available to suit any decor. I encourage you to experiment by clicking on the finishing icons located above this text to choose your favorite finishing.

While we recognize the spider web's general shape, Lisa, you caught the linear paths and little beads of dew, the dark against light and the change of colors. The orangish blob at the end is for the mind to contempulate. Is it really THE spider? L/f

I'm always a little nervous beginning in so close to a spider when I know I'll lose track of him and he could be going anywhere even out my lens and over my camera into my hair ewww... :-) L/F
